Haiti - Economy : End of the French economic mission
From November 25 to 29, 31 French companies including 20 from overseas departments [Guadeloupe, Guyane and Martinique, Caribbean companies perfectly aware of the Haitian context] came on a mission to Haiti to meet with local economic actors. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-9953-haiti-economy-important-delegation-of-french-companies-in-the-country.html

The aim of this large mission was to strengthen the involvement of French companies in the economic development of Haiti. Through these meetings, France also wanted to reinforce the growing economic ties between the two country. During this week, appointments individual "B to B" were organized for French companies. These interviews helped them become more aware of Haitian economic issues and highlight market opportunities and particularly international procurement. Site visits were also on the agenda of the mission to show the reality on the ground and projects in progress.

Recall that ten French companies are already present in Haiti as well as the French Development Agency, which has committed over €100 million since January 2010.

These first economic meetings were organized by the Chamber of Commerce Hranco-Haitian and Industry (CFHCI) and UBIFRANCE, which is the French agency for international business development.

Moreover, in the framework of this mission a delegation composed of the Ambassador of France accredited to Haiti, Patrick Nicoloso, the President of the Guyana Region, Alexandre Rodolphe met Laleau Wilson, acting Minister of Economy and Finance also Minister of Trade and Industry.
