Haiti - NOTICE : Ban on the use of the national arms of Haiti
In a note, the National Bureau of Ethnology (BNE) organization with cultural and scientific vocation, independent, of the Ministry of Culture and custodian of the cultural policy of the Government Martelly-Lamothe, recalls that "national arms are the symbol of the dignity of the Haitian people, national sovereignty and can be used only by the State and its members.

No member of the private sector or non-profit organization, is authorized to use the national arms.

BNE found that some websites, showed the national arms on their home portal, at a time when the Government Martelly-Lamothe, develops communication strategies whose e-Governance is a priority.

BNE, by this note, asking owners of these websites to remove of their portal within forty-eight (48) hours, any representation of national arms, symbol of freedom won with the blood of the founding fathers of Haiti and which geopolitical represents the birth of the State of Haiti.

After this period, violators will be signified by the Haitian State for acts of piracy and cyber crime against the Republic of Haiti."
