Haiti - Politic : 1 new Bill and 5 Decrees adopted in the Council of Ministers 09/01/2014 09:39:30
1. Draft law on the organization of the Ministry of Culture : The purpose of this bill is to provide the Ministry of Culture of adequate administrative structures and develop these structures by determining the organization and functioning of the Ministry on a rational basis. 2. Decree on the regulation of civil status : This Decree grants anyone without a birth certificate, a period of five (5) years to regularize his civil status. It will benefit to this effect to the benefits prescribed by the decree of 16 May 1995 and of diligences of the officers of the prosecution in the cases provided by law... By this Decree it is necessary to take measures necessary to regularize the civil status acts of all persons concerned. 3. Decree Establishing Boundaries of the Citadelle Sans Souci : The National Historic Park-Citadelle Sans-souci Ramiers is classified World Heritage by UNESCO in 1982. The National Historic Park-Citadelle Sans-souci Ramiers is physically delimited by one hundred boundary point bear a plaque inscribed PNH-CSSR followed by their sequence number, from point PNH-CSSR 1 to PNH-CSSR 100. 4. Decree declaring Sunday, January 12, 2014 day of remembrance and reflection : This Decree declare Sunday, January 12, 2014 day of remembrance and reflection dedicated to the memory of the victims of the disaster caused by the earthquake that devastated the country Jan. 12, 2010... This day, during which the national flag will be lowered, nightclubs and other similar establishments remain closed, and radio and television are invited to schedule programs and music for the occasion, is dedicated to the memory of the victims of the disaster of January 12, 2010. 6. Decree creating the Interministerial Monitoring Committee on Disability : This Decree creates an Interministerial Monitoring Committee on Disability, hereinafterunder the acronym ICHS. Indeed, the said Decree meets the need of the Government to create conditions to facilitate access for people with disabilities to physical infrastructure and public services... ICHS's mission is to ensure the coordination and harmonization of public policies in the field of disability in order to build an inclusive society for the benefit of persons with disabilities.
