Haiti - Politic : Haiti wants to consolidate and strengthen its cooperation with Vietnam

At the reception at the National Palace of the new Vietnamese Ambassador Duong Minh, came to present his credentials https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10276-haiti-diplomacy-two-new-ambassadors-accredited-in-haiti.html , President Michel Martelly stressed the strong development of bilateral ties observed lately, especially after the visit to Hanoi, Vietnam, from 16 to 19 December 2012, of the Haitian Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe.
The Head of State declared that Haiti wanted to consolidate and strengthen the relations of multifaceted cooperation with Vietnam. He highlighted the presence of Viettel Group in Haiti, while expressing the wish to accommodate more Vietnamese companies wishing to invest in areas where the two countries have strengths.
Ambassador Duong Minh stated that the relations of cooperation in economy, trade and investment had achieved significant results, but without being up to the potential shown by the countries and asked the Haitian government to facilitate the activities of Vietnamese enterprises in areas such as : agriculture, telecommunications, construction...
