It is this difficult and challenging task to which my Government has been working for the past 6 months. As I said from the rostrum of the UN, during the last General Assembly, Haiti is a country under construction looking to the future. Despite the daily difficulties and the painful memory of the tragedy of the earthquake, "HAITI is now firmly and permanently committed to the path of progress." During the last 6 months, the Government has initiated a number of actions carried out hundreds of visible and sustainable projects adopted multiple measures proposed effective public policies that reduce disparities and facilitate the emergence of a new HAITI.
