Haiti - Health : CFHCI presents a check for 500,000 Gourdes to Hospital Bernard Mevs 17/02/2014 10:36:19
Hospital Bernard Mevs (established in 1995), which receives more than 6,000 patients each year, is one of the few private hospitals, to provide care for humanitarian emergencies to disadvantaged children. Today, to meet the needs of a larger number of needy children, the hospital is obliged to expand its Center of Pediatrics.
That is why the end of 2013, the Franco-Haitian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CFHCI) chose to support the Hospital Bernard Mevsby organizing its traditional charity event in favor of the new pediatric branch of the health institution where the majority of patients do not pay any fee.
Last Thursday, the Board of Directors of CFHCI, paid a visit to Bernard Mevs Hospital and took the opportunity to deliver, to the responsible of the hospital, a check for an amount of 500,000 gourdes, the result of its fundraising of 12 December 2013.
