In the presence of 199 Cardinals of former Pope Benedict XVI and prominent religious and political figures in the world, His Holiness Pope Francis officially sworn in on the new phalanx of Cardinals. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10588-haiti-religion-an-extraordinary-event-a-historic-day-for-haiti.html To mark this historic day for the Catholic Church in Haiti, a dinner was given in the evening in honor of Cardinal Langlois, attended by the presidential couple, President and Vice-President of the National Assembly , members of the political class, civil society, and a large number of religious and faithful Haitian who made the trip especially for the occasion.  In his remarks for the occasion, the President Martelly reiterated the symbolism of the date of appointment of Cardinal Langlois, 12 January 2014, 4 years after the earthquake, which had bereaved Haitian families https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10287-haiti-religion-for-the-first-time-in-its-history-haiti-has-a-cardinal.html In addition, the President Martelly hoped that the fruits of dialogue underway in Haiti, will mature in the coming days, with the support, wisdom and expertise of Cardinal Langlois. For its part, the new Cardinal declared "Haiti is pleased to see his children celebrate together. It will be even more happy if his children unite through dialogue. We are a family. Let the differences aside, like Haiti, in word and actions."  His Eminence Cardinal Chibly Langlois, at age 55 is the second youngest Cardinal in the world to sit at the Vatican. HL/ HaitiLibre
