Haiti - Education : Towards the establishment of Commissions of Management of PSUGO 26/02/2014 12:11:28 The Minister Pierre Vanneur argues that the effective management of PSUGO must involve all stakeholders in the field through the departmental and municipal education commissions, which will assist the Ministry in the management of proximity of the program. Each entity is expected to play his watchdog role in the proper functioning of the schools involved in the program and ensure that the funds allocated for the payment of the tuition for each student, are used wisely. For Juliette Phanord Euristil, Senior Coordinator of PSUGO at the Ministry, it is essential to establish departmental and municipal commissions (in communal sections) in order to ensure the smooth running of the flagship project of the Government in the field of education. Note the responsibility of local authorities in education projects is provided in the 1987 Constitution. Saying ready to follow suit in this process, participants have nevertheless highlights some apprehensions about the PSUGO and proposed some possible solutions for the improvement of program management.
