Haiti - Social : Thirty women honored by Prime Minister
Sunday, at the initiative of the Office for Gender Equity of the Primature, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe before leaving the country for Venezuela, honored as part of the International Women's Day, thirty women of the public administration, for their contribution to national reconstruction.

These women that are mostly executives of National Identification Office (ONI), of the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF), of the National Council Telecommunications (CONATEL) and the Office of Management and Human Resources (OMRH), have reaffirmed their determination to work tirelessly for the benefit of the Nation. At the ceremony held at Hotel Ocean Views, in the presence of hundreds of women from everywhere, they received plaques of honor and gifts of Head of Government.

Feminist activists Yolette Mengual and Barbara Guillaume, did not hide their feelings about the importance of this symbolic gesture that reflects the will of the administration Martelly and Lamothe Government to support women in their fight, which aims to improve their living conditions. They also stressed the strong participation of women in the government Lamothe, exceeding their expectations.

Prime Minister Lamothe, strongly denounced social inequality and violence against women. Recalling the support of 19,000 mothers by his government through the component "Ti manman cheri" of the National Social Assistance program "Ede-Pèp".

Aware of its responsibilities, the Head of Government recognized that the fight to ensure gender equity must go through a broader socio-economic integration of women and requires a paradigm and mindset shift.
