Haiti - Politic : Wencesclas Lambert a senator with harsh methods...
Daniel Théodore, 2nd year student in agronomy at the Public University of East Jacmel (LIPSEJ) and Delegate of the "Protest movement for the Advancement of Coral Soult" (MORACS), lost a tooth after being severely beaten with fists, by Senator Wencesclas Lambert (South-East).

These assaults took place twice. Once Sunday, March 9, at a meeting between the Senator and members of MORACS, precisely inCotrail (commune of Marigot), indicated Monday at the Jacmel press Daniel Théodore, who explained that the incident occurred after Senator Wencesclas has recalled unfulfilled promises to members of the organization MORACS during his election campaign in 2009. As delegate of MORACS, he wanted to refresh the memory of Senator Lambert, by reminding him that these promises were never honored while Senator had already made them 4 years ago.

Wrinkled, Senator Lambert responded by violently striking the face of delegate "Senator Lambert even promised to make me arrest," clarified Daniel Théodore.

Following the altercation, in an interview with the local press, Senator Wencesclas acknowledged have hit Daniel Théodore for lack of respect for the authorities including a senator of the Republic," "I gave him two punches well deserved in the face !"

Monday, March 10, in the afternoon, Daniel Théodore, who was going to give an interview to the journalist René Voltaire correspondent of Signal FM, on Barranquilla Avenue of Jacmel, was again subjected to beatings of senator, who had been informed of this interview...

Since the incident, the reactions multiply in Jacmelienne population. This is the case of the youth organization for the development of South-East (OJEDESE) whose Gary Bernard, General Coordinator vehemently condemned these acts committed by the parliamentarian, he qualifies as blatant violation of human rights.

"This outrageous act of Senator Wenceslas Lambert is the result of laxity of the population which tends to rconsider the parliamentarians of the department as - all-powerful person -. The student youth must revolt and overthrow this form of dictatorship, that these politicians want to establish the Southeast," declared Succès Witny, a student at the Faculty of Law of Jacmel.

Daniel Théodore, is assisted in its legal proceedings by Me André Michel and Me Newton Louis Saint Juste, indicated that he will file a complaint at the Marigot police station against Senator, explaining that the police had informed him that the Senator enjoyed immunity..." "We intend to continue the case until the triumph of justice. No one is above the law. We will show the senator that the defeat of the Right is temporary," declared Me André Michel. For his part Me Antoine Jean Féraud, Commissioner of Jacmel, assured that he will do exactly what the law requires me to do in this case."
