Development of roadside rest areas
On Thursday, the Ministry of Tourism, represented by Pascale Balmir Hilaire and Carine Beauvoir, met Robert Canez, Bertrand Buteau and Pascal Elie representatives of the National Association of Distributors of Petroleum Products (ANADIP). The meeting aimed to sensitize ANADIP on the implementation of roadside rest areas (with own toilet and refreshment corners) in gas stations along roadsides Jacmel and Cap Haitian.

Program to signaling of routes and tourist circuits
The Ministry of Tourism launch a program this year to signaling routes and tourist circuits that will help to direct motorists traveling on highways, towards a road or a circuit of tourist interest like the road to Jacmel, known as the "Route of Friendship" which allows to discover picturesque landscapes and tourist attractions worth seeing. In addition, the ministry wishes to proceed in Carrefour Dufort to the improvement of roundabout located between the Friendship road National road #2 and build food kiosks for vendors.

Cooking School Elie Dubois
The Ministry of Tourism in partnership with the "World Central Kitchen" group and the internationally recognized Chef José Andrès, activate to establish in the shortest time, the cooking school Elie Dubois. Students of the school, under the direction of Chef Andrès and his team will be able to learn not only cooking, but all disciplines related to the industry, as well as techniques for finding a job. Cruises Winter 2015/2016
For the Winter 2015/2016 season, Royal Caribbean International will place 4 of its vessels in the Caribbean "Allure of the Seas", "Oasis of the Seas", "Freedom of the Seas" and "Serenade of the Seas" . The first two will depart from Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale (USA) and will perform two routes, one of 8 days and 7 nights in the Western Caribbean (Jamaica, Mexico, Haiti). The "Freedom of the Seas" will embark from Port Canaveral (USA) for circuits of 8 days and 7 nights, some will be in the Western Caribbean (Grand Cayman, Jamaica, Mexico, Haiti).

Involvement of students in tourism development
Thursday, Ms. Luma Etienne, Regional Director North Ministry of Tourism, proceeded to a presentation session to the attention of students of the National School Philippe Guerrier (LNPG) of Cap-Haitien on their involvement in the development of tourism in the North Destination. Concepts related to tourism have been developed in this presentation in the Auditorium of LNPG before several hundred students of different classes of this establishment. Recall that this is the second meeting of its kind that the Director introduces to students of schools in the metropolis of the North.
