Haiti - Diplomacy : New Turkish Ambassador in Haiti
Friday at the National Palace, President Michel Martelly, received the credentials of the new Ambassador of Turkey accredited to Haiti, Aydin Evirgen, which replaces the outgoing Ambassador Hasan Servet Öktem accredited March 7, 2013 https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-8045-haiti-diplomacy-four-new-ambassadors-in-haiti.html

Turkish diplomat reiterated the commitment of his country to accompany the President Martelly in its efforts to improve the living conditions of the Haitian people.

For his part, the President of the Republic has expressed to him its willingness to work to strengthen the ties of friendship and cooperation between Haiti and his country.

Recall that on the margins of 19th Ordinary Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Association of Caribbean States (ACS) held in Port of Spain (Trinidad and Tobago) on 13 and 14 February, 2014, the Haitian Chancellor, Pierre-Richard Casimir met Cevdet Yilmaz, Turkish Minister of Development, to discuss the possibility of building cooperative relations between Haiti and Turkey. Cevdet Yilmaz was very interested in developing cooperation, particularly in the health sector and education including an increase in the program of scholarships and further training for young and senior public administration.
