Haiti - Tourism : Things are moving everywhere ! 18/04/2014 11:14:29 Monday Ouane Adamah, the outgoing Director of UNESCO in Haiti due to retirement), came present to Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, his substitute Mr. Paul Gomis, who met with the Minister, of projects of restoration and tourism development, he has for the Milot Park (North). Minister of Tourism convened in the Chamber of Deputies Tuesday morning, the Minister Villedrouin was convened in the Chamber of Deputies by the Commission "Tourism and Culture". During the hearing, the Minister presented a statement of accounts and reviewed the actions of the Ministry of Tourism for the fiscal year. Project Destination Jacmel : promotion and communication Wednesday, the Departmental Directorate of Tourism South East,conducted the bid opening in reference to the bidding of Friday, March 14, 2014 on the promotion and communication of the project "Destination Jacmel". The Departmental Directorate of Tourism thanked the 5 firms who responded to the invitation to tender : PubliGestion, Dagmar, AD One Communication, Turquoise and Blue Mango. Proposals will be judged on the following criteria: presentation of dossier, company profile, achievements, similar realization and technical offer. The results should be published this week. Towards an independent entity of classification of hotels in Haiti On Thursday, the Minister of Tourism, met Michel Rheault Director General, and Jocelyn Dessureault, Director of Classification of the "Corporation of Quebec Tourism Industry" (CITQ). The meeting aimed to establish collaboration between the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries and CITQ on : the labeling of tourism infrastructure; work methodology of the CITQ and clarification of political and administrative orientations to foster a better understanding of the classification program by hoteliers. The objective is that in January 2015, there is an entity independent of classification of hotels in Haiti, "CITQ-Haiti." The CITQ team will stay in Haiti for 5 days to visit our hotels.
