Haiti - Social : The locality of Château-Vert de Delattes, celebrated May 1st
The Organization of Peasants for a New Vision of the Sixth Section (OPANOVISS), with its 200 members, mostly young, working to change the lives of every inhabitant of the sixth communal section of Petit Goâve at all levels: educational, social, economic, celebrated May 1st, the feast of agriculture and labor under the theme "Valuing local products and reconstruction of Haiti."

Young of Château-Vert, played two plays to entertain the many visitors and two young university students of the zone, discussed the origin of agriculture and the importance of local consumption "Agriculture is the engine of development of all human societies," said one of them, which encouraged farmers to change their method of work and preserve the environment.

Children, youth and adult residents or from surrounding areas in large numbers, have be able to tasted Creole dishes, an opportunity to promote the Haitian kitchen and honor farm workers, who are the strength of the country.

Sunday Wilner, Coordinator and Joseph Jean Rissonne Secretary of the OPANOVISS, took the opportunity to present the basic needs of the sixth section: roads, health, education, agricultural credit, water, civic education... Recalling that the main road, which leads to Chateau-Vert is in very poor condition, while 120,000 Gourdes were granted for the rehabilitation of this road.
