Implementation of a BIO vegetable garden
Preparation work of a land, locates at the premises of Departmental office South Tourism are underway for the establishment of a garden groceries and of organic vegetables (BIO) in order to accompany the implementation of restaurant of the Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Education (IFORHT).

2nd Edition of the International Festival of Arts and Popular Traditions
Tuesday a meeting was held around the 2nd Edition of the International Festival of Popular Arts and Traditions to be held in Jacmel in September, as part of the celebration of World Tourism Day. In this perspective, Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, the Departmental Director of Tourism South East, and Ms. Yvrose Green, President of the International Committee of Organizations of Folklore Festivals (CIOFF) discussed about the preparations for this annual tourism and cultural event. Through performances by amateur and professional artists, food tastings, and other artistic creations and others, the different cultural communities of Haiti, Egypt and elsewhere, will work to publicize the beauty of their heritage and their traditional values.

Promotion of Haitian crafts worldwide
Wednesday, Ms. Jessy Menos, Secretary of State for Tourism and Creative Industries met with Mr. Simone Cipriani, Head of "Poor Communities and Trade" program of International Trade Center (ITC) and of the Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) in order to promote Haitian crafts worldwide. At this meeting, also took part Ms. Stella Jean, Haitian Italian designer, Anne Pressoir, Consultant Operations Manager and trainer of EFI and Ms. Chloé Mukai CSR and Communication of EFI.

Development of the road Carrefour 44
Thursday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, met with Mexican Expert, Felipe Ortiz and the National Center for Equipment (CNE) about the development of the road Carrefour 44, a critical infrastructure for hotel investment in the area that is part of the project Côtes-de-Fer.

Meeting on the future of destinations
Thursday, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries, had a working meeting with the bordering owners of the historic center, involved in the first phase of the project Destination Jacmel. The economist Kesner Pharel of the Group Croissance, the onsultant Nathalie Garnier of Group IBI DAA and the Director of Tourism South East, Ms. Dithny Joan Raton, assisted the Minister in its exchanges.

After having explained the main projects underway in the region, the Minister Villedrouin recalled the development model of the destination based on a sustainable and responsible resource management, economic growth with greater social inclusion, legal security, the promotion of a market economy open to investment.

The economist Kesner Pharel emphasized on the diversification of tourism projects and exchanged with participants on market opportunities, brakes and innovations "The future of destinations is not exclusively in the competitive differentiation by price," indicated Kesner Pharel, but now pass through the intelligent polarization of tourist activities. Mr. Pharel explained that a "Tourism Cluster" for the Department of the South-East could contribute to sustainable sit the attractiveness of the destination. The discussions also focused on issues of financing of innovative projects and the protection of public investment.
