Haiti - Technology : A water treatment plant for Jacmel 26/05/2014 10:25:06 This infrastructure of water treatment is part of a project funded by the Spanish Agency for Cooperation and Development (AECID) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for access to drinking water for the population of Jacmel. The treatment plant which comprises the steps of coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration and chlorination, have a rate of 50 liters/second is able to supply a population of approximately 43,000 inhabitants. The supply of this water treatment plant in Haiti is the second action of Dinotec made in Haiti after the January 2010 earthquake, when the company had brought several stations modular in support of the NGOs who came to help displaced people in camps.
