In a statement, Dr. Florence D. Guillaume, Minister of Health, said that his Ministry has already contacted Laboratories of quality control for further investigation of stocks and lots of such products "the drugs BACTOCLAV and AUGMENTIN (amoxicillin, clavulanic acid) are strictly prohibited from sale and use throughout the territory of the Republic of Haiti, until further notice decides otherwise. The Ministry relies on all health professionals, pharmacists and pharmacy owners, prescribers of all types and the General Population for the strict application of this preventive measure."
