Haiti - Elections : CEP is working, Government disburses 40M gourdes 04/06/2014 10:26:00
Tuesday, Frizto Canton, President of the Provisional Electoral Council announced that the Government had proceeded to the effective disbursement of 40 million gourdes intended "firstly o the development of BED and BEC and the effective implementation of necessary administrative structures and secondly, to the liquidation of wage arrears for the benefit of the employees of the Provisional Electoral Council," recalling that the CEP intends to implement the required electoral process and calls on all political parties involved to accompany him in the realization of the electoral process in the major interest of the Nation. On the other hand, Frizto Canton inform that the CEP held with Donors, several meetings on the need to accompany Haiti in the next elections "It was jointly arrested several decisions relating to the structuration both of electoral system than the personnel authorized to assist him, and offer the country a part of sacrifice in order to enable the State to meet its constitutional deadlines and consolidate efforts to lay the foundations of democracy in Haiti." Finally, the CEP asks "to the various Presidents and Vice-Presidents of the Departmental Electoral Offices (BED) and Communal Electoral Offices (BEC), electoral agents and all its occasional collaborators of the Electoral Administration to remain mobilized to respond without delay to all requisitions, all queries, all calls that will be made at any time by the Board and also remain available to the CEP for training sessions, to be held in their favor, in order to take advantage of the knowledge and control of the electoral process as projected for the elections of 26 October 2014."
