Support Committee to the municipality of Jacmel
Last Sunday, at the invitation of the Mayor of Jacmel, Noë Adonis, was held at the local tourist port, a working meeting on the formation of a Support Committee to the municipality of Jacmel. It was question inter alia of major role of the state in tourism development, awareness and involvement of the population, the need to curb the proliferation of uncontrolled construction and cultural events, drivers of tourist attractiveness of the region.

Meeting of Departmental Directorates of MTIC
Monday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouim, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC) held its first meeting of the Directors of the month with the Departmental Directors of South (Karine Conde Emeran) South East (Dithny Joan Raton) and of North (Dieudonne Luma Etienne). Chaired by Maryse Noel the Director General of MTIC it was question of investment, training, Tourist Police and of projects identified for the period from June to September 2014.

Role of students in the tourist development of the North
At a Conference-Debate presented to 2nd year students of the Faculty of Law of Economics and Management of Cap-Haitien, Ms. Dieudonne Etienne Luma, Regional Director North MTIC, stressed the important role that young students could play in the development of tourism in North declaring to them "
Have a proactive and not reactive attitude. Out-of-there is no salvation !"

Île-à-Vache
Thursday in the premises of the Ministry of Tourism, met the Steering Committee of the tourism development project of Île-à-Vache. On the agenda, the the progress report of various projects: social, urban renewal, private tourist investment, public infrastructure, development of agriculture and fisheries, and the reports of various studies on the island as part of the project.

Development of the beach Ti-Mouillage
As part of an overall plan to promote tourism, the Tourism Ministry proposes to develop the beach Ti-Mouillage located 20 minutes from the town of Jacmel in Cayes-Jacmel (Southeast). The proposal of MTIC, includes: the development of facilities (toilets blocks, kiosks 2 bar / restaurant, kitchen, beach umbrellas, parking, repair of housing units, tourist information kiosk, beach volleyball, bins and installation of floats for the delimitation.

3rd Festival of the Sea
Ms. Dieudonne Etienne Luma, Regional Director North MTIC in the presence of two special envoys of the U.S. Embassy in Haiti, held the first major meeting that should lead to the realization of the third edition of the Festival of the Sea to be held on 1 and 2 August 2014 on the Beach Caramel of Bas-Limbé (North) and on the Boulevard of the Metropolis North, Cap Haitien, on the theme: "Protecting our environment! "The members of the Organizing Committee of the event consisting largely of Business Private sector took part in the meeting. Attaché for Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Haiti has pledged his support "The American Embassy United States of America in Haiti, will sponsor a musical group and bring the 'doers sand' on the Beach Caramel of Bas-Limbé."
