Haiti - Literature : Winners of the Bourse Barbancourt 2014
William Eliacin of the company du Rhum Barbancourt has announced the names of two recipients of the Bourse Barbancourt 2014 (launched in 2011, by the company to celebrated its 150 years). Both writers will receive money and have one year to finish their project.

For this fourth and penultimate edition, the Company du Rhum Barbancourt awarded the first to Evelyne Trouillot, a writer dedicated for his novel "Le rond point" (tentative title) that you can discover the 19 and 20 June as part of "Livre en Folie". Mrs. Trouillot has already published novels, essays, poetry, children's stories. His books have been translated into German, English, Italian. In 2010, she was awarded of the "prix Carbet de la Caraïbe" and of "Tout monde" for its Roman "La mémoire aux abois".

The second is attributed to the essayist George Eddy Lucien who has already published two book whose the last "Une modernisation manquée, Port-au-Prince (1915-1956)" published in 2013 just received a distinction from the Haitian Studies Association "Chosen as the best social science book published between 2010-2013". George Eddy Lucien will publish in 2015, within the framework of Livres en folie "Métropolisation, modernisation et projets urbains à Miami : entre action d’embellissement de la ville et processus d’expropriation en douceur de la population haïtienne du Centre ville de Miami."

Grants awarded in 2011 :
Kettly Mars (guest of honor at the 20th edition of Livres en folie for his novel "Aux frontières de la soif."
Louis-Philippe Dalembert for his novel "Les bas-fonds de la mémoire".

Grants awarded in 2012 :
Joseph Bernard Junior for "Haïti et l’influence des États-Unis d’Amérique de l’indépendance à la reconnaissance (1804-1862)" followed by "Capharnaum".
Carmelle Saint Gérard Lopez for his novel "Sans fard ni rimmel".

Grants awarded in 2013 :
Jean-Euphèle Milcé for his novel "Mers chères petites ombres".
Wein Wébert Arthus for his boopk "Duvalier à l’ombre de la guerre froide".
