Haiti - Diaspora : D-2 «Gouvènman an lakay ou» in Miami
At the head of an important delegation composed of at least 5 Ministers including those of justice and Tourism as well as executives of public administration among others, the Directors General of the Directorate General of Taxes (DGI), of National Archives of Haiti (ANH) and the National Identification Office (ONI), the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, will chair Saturday, July 19, in Miami, the 9th edition of "Gouvènman an lakay ou" from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at North Miami Senior High School located at 13110 NE 8th Avenue, Miami, FI 33161.

Stéphane Gilles, the head of mission of the Consulate General of Haiti in Miami, multiplies the meetings with key sectors of the community to favor the smooth running of this important activity that serves as a platform of dialogueto the Lamothe Government and Administration Martelly. The Consul has especially met with the police of the city around the security planning of the event and with the leaders of the Haitian community on the development of the main topics that will be included on the agenda of discussions.

As part of this social dialogue with representatives of the Diaspora, the administration Martelly and Lamothe government will present projects and measures aimed at improving services to the Haitian community overseas in several areas, including the identification and the register of civil status, voting rights, customs, airport reception and security, strengthening the business environment to attract investors of this important community and secondly open a large debate on the economic policy, tourism, social and cultural of country in order to increase the participation of the Haitian diaspora in Haiti's internal affairs.

According to Abel Nazaire, the Deputy Director of the Office of the Primature, the implementation of this program in Miami reflects the importance that the Government attaches to the diaspora. About 2 million gourdes should be spent for the implementation of this program in Miami, noting that the private business sector should contribute greatly to its funding.
