Haiti - Diaspora : Media Tour of the Prime Minister in Florida
On Friday, Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, conducted a tour in the media of the Haitian community in South Florida, to answer questions from journalists and opinion leaders, as a prelude to the 9th Edition of "Gouvènman an Lakay Ou" program which takes place this Saturday at North Miami Senior High School https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11609-haiti-diaspora-d-2-gouvenman-an-lakay-ou-in-miami.html

Participating in several programs, including the popular "Piman Bouk" by Nelson Voltaire and "Carrefour" hosted by Alex Saint Surin, Laurent Lamothe presented the major projects of development and achievements of his government in the areas of education, health, tourism, the rule of law, economic governance, the development of local communities, etc... listing the road works, electrical, sanitary, educational, sports that are either completed or in the process of being inaugurated he stressed that the start in construction on the country participates in the Government's commitment to develop the infrastructure necessary for its sustainable development.

The Head of Government responded to questions from the audience around the interests of the community and has placed great emphasis on the security, consolidation of the rule of law and democratic achievements, citing significant results in the fight against banditry, crime, drug trafficking, kidnapping, corruption and tax evasion.

The Prime Minister reiterated the commitment of the administration Martelly to improve public services offered to the Haitian community overseas and the willingness accompany him in all its initiatives of participation in the development of the country, while acknowledging the contribution of the diaspora to the national economy, particularly in its contribution to the National Fund for Education (FNE), which allowed the free education of more than one million children the country.
