Haiti - Tourism : Things are moving everywhere...
Labadee tourist destination, the Prime Minister wants more
Friday, as part of his tour in Miami on the eve of the 9th output of "Gouvènman an lakay ou" program, the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, accompanied by Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industry (MTIC), met, Adam M. Goldstein, President of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.

Pending the signing of a memorandum of agreement next month, the Head of Government and Adam Goldstein, have agreed to develop the villages in the vicinity of Labadee, implement there social programs to the benefit of residents to promote agricultural production and local crafts. They also discussed the expansion of cruise passengers visits, to other tourist destinations in the country, including the Palace Sans-Souci and the Citadelle. The Government, as part of its tourism development plan, of development of cultural tourism and creative industries, will invest 40 million gourdes in the renovation and enhancement of the ruins of the Sans-Souci Palace.

D-8: Carnival of Flowers 2014
The Carnival of Flowers, which will take place on 27, 28 and 29 July in the capital, gives work to over 1,500 people: makeup artists, dancers, designers, artisans, painters, restorers, choreographers and artists. The masked groups, makes practice sessions at the gymnasium Vincent of Port-au-Prince. The building of stands in the Street of the République and rue Capois, advancing apace, preparations are well underway at the Champ de Mars, to 8 days of festivities. 12 bands cill take part in the carnival parade on the Champ de Mars : Anbyans, Barikad Crew, Carimi, Chalè, Djakout #1, Koudjay, Kreyol La, K-Zino, Rockfam, Team Lobey, T-Micky and T-Vice.

3rd Edition of the Festival of the Sea
This week, Ms. Dieudonne E. Luma, the Regional Director North Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries, met representatives of the various institutions responsible for the implementation of the 3rd Edition of the Festival of the Sea which this year takes place on the Boulevard of Cap-Haitien and the Beach-Caramel of Bas-Limbé on 1, 2 and 3 August 2014 on the theme "Protecting our environment." Discussions was around the safety of the event, sound, decoration and construction of stands.

Distribution of T-shirts in Saut d'Eau
