Haiti - Education : An important key project of GRAHN-Monde
The Group of Reflection and Action for a New Haiti (GRAHN-MONDE), a non-profit organization, founded by our compatriot Samuel Pierre, Professor at Polytechnic of Montreal and Chairman of the Board of Directors, where sit beside him prestigious Haitian personalities decided to establish the Institute for Science, Technology and Advanced Studies of Haiti (INSEAH), a high-level institute, dedicated to scientific and technical education for sustainable development.

As soon informed of the socio-cultural and economic scope, the Ambassador of the Republic of Haiti in Canada, Frantz Liautaud, decided, insofar as possible, to provide the support of the Mission to the realization of this promising project, involving colleagues from the diplomatic corps at the meeting with members of the Board of Directors of GRAHN at the headquarters of the Embassy.

Was present at this meeting: Ambassadors Andres Teran-Parral (Ecuador); Konstantin V. Zhigalov (Kazakhstan); Nouzha Chekrouni (Morocco); Mona Elisabeth Brother (Norway) and Ms. Nancy Ndiaye Ngom (Senegal). Were also present Ann Kathryne Lassègue, Minister Counsellor, Embassy of Haiti, and members of the Board of Directors of GRAHN: Samuel Pierre, Michel Julien, Pierre Toussaint, Felix Vernet and James Féthière.

During this meeting, held there a few days, Professor Pierre brilliantly exposed the lines of the project, called, he said, "to provide in all parts of the country, of citizens responsible, whose skills acquired at the institute, under the direction of highly qualified trainers have made ​​them responsible leaders [...]"

By appealing to the financing of these countries friends of some edifices included in the Project, Samuel Pierre and Ambassador Liautaud, did not fail to note that GRAHN-MONDE, relied on the spirit of solidarity and fraternity of these countries, for the incessant struggle for planned development, resting on the base of Education.

Further meetings are planned in the context of an agreement, as soon the diplomats invited will have received the green light from their Government.
