We remain aware that young people need to be educated to become responsible citizens, but they also need wholesome entertainment ", said the Prime Minister recalling that with the creation of multi-sport parks across all the country, as well with the program like "Kore etidyan" and Universal Schooling Program, Free and Compulsory (PSUGO), the Government the Government proposes other models of leisure and success for youth. The celebration of International Youth Day, which will last a week in Haiti allow Haitian youth to meet, exchange ideas, express themselves through various activities provided by the Directorate of Youth and Integration Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC). For 6 days, from August 12 to 17, young people are invited to exhibit their crafts, participate in panels, sports competitions, to appreciate their artistic talents and to meet young at reduced capacity and conflict with the law. International Youth Day is essentially a program to promote, especially among young people, the Global Program for Youth to the Year 2000 and beyond. This program encourages the promotion of young people in 10 priority areas: education, employment, malnutrition and poverty, health, environment, drug abuse, juvenile delinquency, leisure, little girls and young women and full participation of youth in the life of society and decision-making. Rébu Himler, the Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, took the opportunity of the International Youth Day 2014, to express his determination to "continue to work to makes young people good citizens engaged in the reconstruction of the country and the advent of a more united Haiti, fairer."
