Haiti - Diplomacy : Chancellor Brutus at the inauguration of President Erdogan 27/08/2014 09:40:11
Tuesday, Duly Brutus, the Minister of Foreign Affairs flew to Turkey where he will represent the President Michel Martelly and Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe to the inauguration ceremonies of the 12th President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, elected on 10 August, which will be held next Thursday in Ankara.
Haiti's participation in these ceremonies are part of the strengthening of relations of friendship and cooperation between the two nations for over fifty years. The Turkish Government has shown much interest in closer ties between Turkey and Haiti. For example, more than twenty scholarships recently awarded to Haitian students, the Turkish Cooperation finances the construction of a public hospital in Croix-des-Bouquets to the tune of 1.7 million dollars and a public school.

Chancellor Brutus will be back in Haiti, Monday, September 1.
