In the area of agriculture, the Government has made available to farmers in the Central Department 20 irrigation pumps, including 14 for the growers of Mirebalais, in addition to 32 pumps that already has the Department. A pilot project for water purification is running in Mirebalais, a pump manual for water purification was installed at the communal Lycéeand 9 other pumps will be installed soon. Since it was established through the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTCI), a project called "La route de l'eau" (The road of water), which plans to develop the roads leading to natural sites in the region. 240 km of this eco-tourist road should be constructed or rehabilitated. In this context, the road to Saut d'Eau was arranged, that of Bassin Zim is almost complete. Projects related to urban infrastructure, environment, social rights have also started including: road construction and urban renewal in Hinche, Las Cahobas, Cerca La Source, Cerca-Cajaval; the creation of a community forest in Boucan Carré; the construction of the Court of Appeals of Hinche; the construction of a Peace Court, an office of the National Identification Office (ONI) and civil status in Maïssade, Saut d'Eau, Thomassique and Boucan-Carré.
