This major project of over US $ 29 million, will be very beneficial for the country and for the deep south in particular. During the meeting, several projects were presented by the Minister of Tourism, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, such as the construction of the port of Les Cayes, of Les Cayes Airport and that of the île-à-Vache, of the roads of île-à-Vache and that of Cayes-Jérémie. With respect to the construction of the main road of the island which is 17km, it will cost US$ 10 million to the Treasury, and the construction works are being executed. Following the evaluation of these infrastructure projects in the South, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction at the progress of these projects and renews its commitment to work, so that by 2030, Haiti could be an emerging country in the region . Also on Thursday, a delegation of citizens from the town of Hinche, led by deputy Gilbert Augustin, met the Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe, also Minister of Planning and External Cooperation (MPCE), the premises of the Ministry, in order to thank the Head of Government for all the major work done in the Centre department, particularly in the town of Hinche.
