Haiti - Culture : Ministry of Culture visited Desdunes and Grande Saline
Monique Rocourt, the Ministry of Culture, visited two Communes of the Borough of Dessalines (Desdunes and Localité Bac D'Aquin of Grande Saline) to provide audio-visual and reading materials (TV, VCR, DVD, educational games, books, etc...) to the Municipal Library of Desdunes intended for the population of the two communes.

The Minister was received by the Deputy Delegate of the Borough of Dessalines, Wadner Joseph, the Mayors Assistants of Desdunes, Hubert Cupidon and Alton Clenor, Mayor of Grande Saline, Badens Peter, his Assistants Pascal D'jerry Alexandre, Joseph Wilson and a large part of the population. The horsemen of Desdunes made ​​an impressive showing on the arrival of the Minister and along the entire route.

Minister Rocourt took the opportunity to visit the municipal library of Desdunes freshly built, the Administrative Complex and the locality of Bak Daken in Grande saline.
Furthermore she exchanged with the population, including with women came from both communes, on the projects and needs of the two areas. Following her visit, Ms. Rocourt said she was satisfied of its meetings and the cultural potential of these two localities.
