Haiti - Politic : Special Plan, new commitments for the island of La Gonâve

A large meeting was held at the Primature this week between Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe Mimose accompanied by Marie Mimose Félix, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister, in charge of promoting the Peasantry and Coordinator of the Special Plan of the Island La Gonâve and representatives of various sectors of activities ongoing on the island.

This meeting aimed for the Prime Minister and the Coordinator, to inquire about the progress of the Special Plan of La Gonâve https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11620-haiti-politic-launch-of-several-projects-on-the-island-of-la-gonave.html and to inform about the general problems faced by the inhabitants.

In a friendly atmosphere, the actors developed, in turn, their ideas in a very productive way and many commitments were also taken personally by the Head of Government, who announced that the island would benefit in the coming days, even prior to the holding of "Gouvènman an Lakay ou" program (Saturday, September 13) of :

Two all terrain vehicles (pickup) and six motorcycles at the service of two police stations ;
Four motorcycles for the two courts of Peace ;
Three hundred chairs-tables for the National High School Gros Mangle (school furniture, made from recycled plastic waste) and two motorcycles and a computer lab ;
Two annexes of the courts of Peace ;
The support of 11 health centers by the Ministry of Public Health ;
Two computer centers powered by solar energy.
