Haiti - Senegal : The Haitian students will arrive on October 10th
Dr. Lamine Bâ, Minister in the Office of the President of the Republic in charge of international affairs and humanitarian, has revealed that the Haitian students, except modification of last minute will arrive at Senegal on October 10th. They will take a direct flight Port-au-Prince Dakar and will be accompanied by the Haitian authorities including ministers and the chairman of the Senate. One way for them can thank Wade for his initiative that relieves more of a Haitian.

160 students (45% girls) aged between 18 and 22 years were selected by the teaching cell the National Coordinating Commission of the reception and settlement of Haitians in Senegal among thousands of contenders. These students will receive scholarships of the Senegalese State after their assignments in the various schools of formation and public and private universities throughout their studies, "They will live like the Senegalese students, because here, it is their home. there will be no favoritism" assured Prof. Amadou Tidiane Bâ.

For their arrival on October 10th and during all their time that it will be necessary for their acclimatization for the social context of the country, the National Commission of coordination of the reception and the establishment of the Haitians in Senegal intends to unroll a series of activities. Thus, upon arrival they will receive a private visit to Goree, then the next day, there will be an official ceremony in place of the "Monument of the African Renaissance". Similarly, students will be supported on medical and psychological level of transit zone before being redirected in universities. Moreover, it is envisaged a bi-weekly emission "News of Haiti (Nouvelles d’Haïti)" to make it possible to the Haitians to keep the contact with their country of origin.
