Haiti - Tourism : Things are moving everywhere ! 01/10/2014 15:51:25
Monday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Industries (MTIC), met with the team members of the Regional Office North. The Minister believes that this is thanks to the professionalism of the team that she manages to implement the policy of his Ministry in the Northern Region "If you were not as dynamic to give effect to the policy of the Ministry, I would be unable to talk about the tourism development in the North Destination". Talking of various benefits that will bring the arrival of American Airlines in North Destination (maiden flight Oct. 2, 2014) the Minister said she rely on all the team members to contribute to the quality of the tourist offer "Your involvement as my representatives in the North is very important," asking them to look after all the details. Because according to her "it's the little actions that grow a destination." Maiden flight of American Airlines Monday, Stéphanie Balmir Villedrouin, the Minister of Tourism, visited Cap-Haitien, in the framework of preparations for the arrival of the inaugural flight of American Airlines (Miami-Cap-Haitien) tomorrow Thursday, October 2, 2014. Studies on the evolution of Haitian tourism On Monday, the Minister of Tourism met with a group of consultants consisting of 4 former ministers and a former Director of the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), responsible for conducting studies on the evolution of Haitian tourism. During the meeting which was attended among others by : Martine Deverson, André Lemercier Georges, Ronald Baudin and Marie-Josée Garnier, the Minister Villedrouin made a return on the training strategy, promotion and tourism development, forming the vision and action of his Government. Michael Browne visited IFORHT Tuesday, Michael Browne, the Minister of Education of Antigua, on official visit to Haiti, accompanied by Ms. Karine Condé the Departmental Director South of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Industry (MTIC), and Daniel Denis, Director of Training of the Ministry of Tourism, made a short tour in the city of Les Cayes in order to visit the Institute of Hotel and Tourism Training (IFORHT) of Les Cayes. The purpose of the visit was to strengthen the partnership between MCIT and Ministry of Education of Antigua in the field of vocational, technical and university training in the tourism sector. Graduation of students of CHATEF-Haiti Project The MTIC, the Tourist Association of Haiti (ATH) and the Foundation for Education of the The MTIC, the Tourist Association of Haiti (ATH) and the Foundation for Education of CHATEF-Haiti project, which will be held on Wednesday 1 October at The Plaza Hotel, Port-au-Prince. At the ceremony will take part among others, the Minister of National Education of Antigua on official visit to Haiti. UNDP/SOUTH interested to visitors of the caves Jean Renand Valiere, Project Director of the United Nations Development South donated a lot of protective helmet with a headlamp to the Departmental Directorate of Tourism South, led by Karine Condé. The idea of this donation is to protect visitors wishing to explore the cave Marie Jeanne of Port à piment in peace.
