Haiti - Politic : The President Martelly promotes Haiti to Trinidad
Wednesday in Trinidad and Tobago, the President Michel Martelly, accompanied by Wilson Laleau, Minister of Commerce and Industry, attended the 8th Americas Competitiveness Forum which was held under the theme "The human imagination at work : Driving competitiveness, Power innovation".

In the presence of his counterpart from Guatemala, Otto Pérez Molina and the Prime Minister of Trinidad, Mrs. Kamla Persad-Bissessar, the Head of State expressed satisfaction with this initiative "We need at government level, releasing resources to organize the supervision of innovation. We must systematically integrate the issues of sustainable innovation in development thinking and reassure the private sector about the sustainability of the policies and institutional framework," declared President Martelly, emphasizing the opportunities for foreign investors Haiti.

On the sidelines of the 8th Forum, the Head of State gave a presentation at the University of West Indies, about his vision and achievements in the field of education stressing "This enrollment effort responds to the pressing need to provide all the children of Haiti the human capital needed for their development and to their full socio-cultural integration. By ensuring education for all children, my Administration meets a requirement of repair and social justice."

President Martelly also met Michael Dilollo, the CEO of Caribbean Airlines, around the 12th Edition of the Festival of Arts of the Caribbean (Carifesta XII) to be held in Haiti from 14 to 23 August 2015. They also discussed, the possibility of providing a new flight Port of Spain/Port-au-Prince/Miami or Port of Spain/Cap-Haitien/Miami.
