Haiti - Diplomacy : Note of sympathy of the Haitian Government
The sad news of the death of Mr. Carlos Morales Troncoso, former Vice President and former Chancellor of the Dominican Republic reached the Government of the Republic of Haiti.

In these circumstances, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expresses the profound regret of the President of the Republic, His Excellency Michel Joseph Martelly, of the Prime Minister His Excellency Laurent Salvador Lamothe and present their sincere condolences to parents and relatives of the deceased and the Government and to the Dominican people.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Religious Affairs (MAEC) took the opportunity to salute the memory of the former Chancellor, Troncoso, who contributed to the development and deepening of relations between the Republic of Haiti and the Dominican Republic .


Note that Carlos Morales Troncoso, aged 74, died Saturday, October 25, 2014, of leukemia in Houston, Texas.
