A Prix immediately acclaimed by President Martelly "I warmly congratulate the Haitian novelist Yanick Lahens who won yesterday the Prix Femina, for her novel 'Bain de lune'. With the obtaining of Prix Femina by our novelist Yanick Lahens, Haitian literature continues to fascinate the world." Her novel is a violent beauty of his country, crossed by the destruction, political expediency, families torn apart, but also the magic words of the peasants. "I am very happy. The recognition is good and I am especially sensitive to the fact that the jury understood that this story, if it happens in Haiti, is universal," declared Yanick Lahens at the announcement of her Prix Femina.
