Haiti - Economy : Important trade mission in Dominican Republic
Thursday, Wilson Laleau, the Minister of Trade and Industry (MCI) at the head of a delegation composed of Francois Guillaume II, the Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), a member of the Office of the Prime Minister, executives of the Ministry and Haitian businessmen, will conduct a mission to monitor progress of the last high-level meeting binational between the two countries.

To this end, a preparatory meeting was held Tuesday at MCI with businessmen who take part in this mission. The mission arrived Tuesday evening in the Dominican Republic.

Several meetings are planned with Sr. José del Castillo, the Dominican Minister of Industry and Trade and of Dominican businessmen. The Haitian private sector will present its concerns regarding the export of a number of Haitian products, among others: coffee, beverages (including the Prestige beer https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12357-haiti-economy-beer-prestige-soon-in-the-dr-market.html ) the broth cubes and tablets, flour, margarine, bar soap and pharmaceuticals.

At the end of this mission, a number of resolutions will be taken to facilitate trade between the two countries.
