Haiti - Social : Prime Minister reiterates his commitment to gender equity
Yesterday Tuesday, Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe, on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, reiterated his commitment to strengthen the policy of his Government to ensure respect for the rights of women and gender equity.

According to him the violence on the physical integrity of women constitute serious violations of human rights. They are unacceptable and contrary to the values and laws of the Republic. They can threaten society and undermine the foundation of the rule of law. In this sense, he commits itself to intensify the fight against all forms of violence against women.

On this occasion, the head of government calls for the mobilization of all sectors of national life for the eradication of violence against women in the country. It also invites them to make equality of men and women a common cause.
