Haiti - Politic: Recommendations of the Commission, the President is working on them 16/12/2014 10:54:39 At the end of this first day of work, Lucien Jura, the Spokesman of the Presidency, in a press conference, provided an update on the meetings and recalled that the President Martelly, intended to comply with all the recommendations that were dependent on him. According to Mr. Jura, the 9 advisers of the CEP, whose resignation was recommended by the Commission, would all be ready to remove from office and to resign in the coming days, adding that the advisers will ensure the interim until replaced. However, for Rosny Desrochesof the Initiative of Civil Society (ISC) the electoral advisers can not resign without reference to sectors that have mandated them, and without consultations with their constituents... Regarding the meeting with the President of the two chambers, the Spokesperson indicated that the meeting had lasted more than 4 hours and that its was discussed of the outcome of the political crisis, the formation of the next government and amendments to the electoral law. Due to time constraints, the issue of the designation of a new Prime Minister was not discussed at this first meeting. Finally, Lucien Jura confirmed that the Head of State had met Me Anel Alexis Joseph, the President of the CSPJ about the resignation recommended by the Commission, stating that Me Joseph had promised the President to reflect on the question...
