Haiti - Social : «Think and struggle towards a Haiti without poverty» 04/01/2015 09:39:42 Cyclones, riots, earthquake, massive population movements, emergency camps in several cities, all these events have, in recent years undermined the socio-economic situation of Haiti, which has one of the highest inequalities monetary rate in the world. How to think and fight against extreme poverty? Here is the result of the work of national and international stakeholders, development experts, representatives of civic organizations, international agencies and donors came to exchange and share knowledge about the phenomenon. They explored ways and means to combat poverty in the symposium "Think and struggle : towards a Haiti without poverty", which was intended to propose strategies to reduce poverty from 51 to 40% by 2016, in line with the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) for reducing extreme poverty and hunger. Three axis were studied during this conference :
