Haiti - Crisis : D-72 hours, hoping for a solution remains, the impasse too...
Despite three days of intense negotiations, no solution on the best formula to solve thepre-electoral crisis before January 12 at midnight, at midnight, has yet been found between the Executive, the Senate and the opposition parties, whether : of Prime Minister appointed Evans Paul, the vote on the amendments to the electoral law or the opening of the National Assembly in a special session...

Friday at Hotel Kinam, President Martelly met in the day, among others Senators Francisco de la Cruz, Harry Marsant and Yrvelt Chéry, representatives of the Party "Organization of People in Struggle"; the President of the Chamber of Deputies, Stevenson Jacques Timoleon and several members of the pro-government majority bloc "Parliamentarians for Stability and Progress" (PSP) including the deputies Lesly Guirand, Ogline Pierre, Jean Fennel Tannis, Kengston Jean-Baptiste. In the afternoon, the Fanmi Lavalas party in a letter, conditioned its participation in negotiations with the Head of the State, to formal confirmation of the latter, he was ready to resume with all political parties, the process leading to the choice of a consensual Prime Minister... Finally Fanmi Lavalas was conspicuous by his absence...

The Deputy Kengston Jean-Baptiste, PSP spokesman, lamented that in these negotiations, the personal interest take over the interest of the community, pointing to the members of the opposition, which during the negotiations have only defend the extension of their mandate. He assured the President Martelly that deputies of the PSP, will be available at all times, no matter what time, until the end of delay, Monday, January 12 at midnight to find a solution.

In the event that a consensual agreement is not reached before the deadline, the deputies members of PSP told the Head of State, they had no objection for his ruling the country by decree from 13 January 2015 and that it organizes elections within 120 days after January 12. He confirmed that in case of failure to agree, the deputies will leave Parliament, to continue to serve the population in other ways.

Friday evening, after the meeting, Stevenson Jacques Timoléon, promised to the Head of State to met this weekend with representatives of the other blocks of the Lower House, in an attempt to convince them to assume their responsibilities and participate in the resolution of the crisis.

Meanwhile, to those negotiations, more than a dozen senators gathered that day in Parliament, in order to analyze the situation and try to find an exit to the crisis...

For the Senator of the opposition, Jean-Baptiste Bien-Aimé, a member of the G6, which seems to ignore that a negotiation is made of concession on both sides, there is no doubt that the Head of State never had the desire to find a solution to the crisis...

As for President Martelly, he remains confident that a solution is always possible and hopes that parliamentarians will prioritize the interests of the Nation.
