Thursday at the Hotel Le Plaza, Jimmy Albert, Minister of Youth, Sports and Civic Action (MJSAC) and Nesmy Manigat, Minister of National Education and Vocational Training (MENFP) launched in presence of several artists including Belo, BIC and Renette Désir, a Civic Education Campaign for Youth (from March 26 to May 29) which will be marked by a series of outreach activities to counter the youth of the spiral of violence. This campaign is a continuation of projects already completed jointly by the MJSAC and MENFP (Interschool Football Championship and the Walking of Youth and Sporting)

"Young people should turn back to violence to concentrate on their studies and sports," said Minister Albert "The forces of the Nation must work together to inculcate in youth the principles of know how and live together."

As part of this campaign was launched a contest of texts, songs and music around the mobilizing slogan "Kenbe Tèt ou" inspired by the song of BIC Group "Kenbe tèt ou, kwè nan tèt ou, kraze bèt ou". This competition aims to value the talent among young people, and inculcate the values of respect, solidarity, dialogue and sharing. It should also contribute to the living together, to the quest for excellence and of work well done.

This contest is open to boys and girls students aged 14 to 20 years of public and private schools. The texts and songs will have to emphasize on civic engagement and the fight against violence.

The ten best songs selected will be engraved on a promotional CD. Their authors will be invited to a concert to be held on May 29, 2015. Finalists will be accompanied by other renowned artists who will have to carry as far as possible the message of understanding, of peace and solidarity, including Belo, BIC, Tamara Sufren, Renette Désir and Jeanjean Roosevelt. Many of these artists will be among the members of the jury who will evaluate the work of the young participants.

The best papers will be brought together in a book, which will be widely distributed in the schools of the Republic.

"The fight against youth violence is ours," declared BIC. For their part, Rénette Désir, Bélo wished the Haitian society manages to make or remake the experience of "Lakou trankil", a society that renews with Peace and that promotes sharing and living together.
