Haiti - Education : Launch of the magazine «Chantiers» of the UEH 06/04/2015 12:09:00 In his presentation, the Rector situated the publication of the magazine within the framework of a range of measures and initiatives taken recently by various forums of our institution in order to strengthen UEH research mission while ontributing to make the UEH more comprehensive and effective, recalling that "[...] 'Chantiers' responds to a demand made since 1999 by the University Council (CUEH), which provided for the creation of two major magazines, one in Human and Social Sciences, the one we are launching today, and the other in pure and applied sciences, for which steps have already been taken [...] This magazine is also a true 'coumbite'. Since the first steps of Professor Jean-Léon Ambroise who will be joined initially by Professor Edelyn Dorismond and later by colleagues Nixon Calixte and James St-Cyr. Until the release of the first issue. Through the commitment of the leading contributors, Ilionor Louis, Adler Camilus, Chenet Jean-Baptiste, Irdèle Lubin, Jerry Michel, Edelyn Dorismond, which spontaneously put their trust[...] In this perspective, will shortly be established the Steering Committee composed of representatives of all the entities concerned. Department heads, teachers, librarians, students will also be involved in the supply of quality products, promotion, distribution and influence of the first magazine of Human and Social Sciences of the University of State of Haiti [...] [...] With the Dean's Offices and the team in place, we have already begun to discuss strategies to implement to make of 'Chantiers' a lasting and quality work, to the extent of our capabilities and the legitimate expectations of the community from the largest and oldest national university. [...] the creation of 'Chantiers' constitutes a significant milestone on the rising path that orrows slowly and surely our UEH, our Alma Mater, our basic reference." HL/ HaitiLibre
