Haiti - Security : The Fenatrado request damages and interests to the Government of Haiti
Tuesday, thr Dominican trucks that were held since Monday in Haiti by the demonstrators have returned to the Dominican Republic. The decision came after a meeting in Dajabon between unionists of the National Federation of Dominican Transportation (Fenatrado), the representatives of the Dominican Consulate and the Director of Cesfront (Cuerpo Especializado de Seguridad Fronteriza Terrestre). It has also been concluded to unblock the road between Dajabón and Ouanaminthe. However, the Fenatrado request to the Haitian authorities damages and interest of more than more than 10,000 US dollars (500,000 pesos) for damage caused to Dominican trucks.

Furthermore, General Carlos Aguirre Reyes, director of Cesfront ordered increased surveillance along the border with Haiti at Dajabón by members of Cesfront and the Dominican army in reasons of violence that occurred the day before to Ouanaminthe https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13601-haiti-flash-extreme-tension-at-the-border-a-peacekeeper-shot-dead.html
