Haiti - Diplomacy : OAS deplores the death of a Chilean military in Haiti 15/04/2015 10:52:13
José Miguel Insulza, the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), deeply lamented the death of the Chilean Sergeant Rodrigo Sanhueza https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13601-haiti-flash-extreme-tension-at-the-border-a-peacekeeper-shot-dead.html and asked the Government of Haiti to carry out an exhaustive investigation into the events that surrounded his passing, convinced that the Government of President Michel Martelly will take the necessary measures to ensure those responsible are brought to justice.
Secretary General Insulza sent his condolences to the family of the Chilean soldier who was working with the United Nations Stabilization Mission in Haiti (Minustah) and praised the role of the Mission in the reconstruction and consolidation of the democratic institutions in the Caribbean country.
