Haiti - Reconstruction : 9 months after the earthquake, the situation remains the same 06/10/2010 13:58:29
Approximately 600.000 people migrated from the zone of the seism and live in families of reception in province. The UN agencies, the authorities and the governmental organizations (NGO's) to date built 15.981 shelters of transition being able to accommodate nearly 80.000 people. The regional and Pan American office of the World Health Organization says it is "vigilant" about the risks of a second humanitarian crisis that could occur due to flooding or a hurricane. According to the report, the main challenges in the coming months will be clearing, security, reconstruction and return of displaced in residences.
