Haiti - Economy Important mission of Mexican entrepreneurs in Haiti 26/04/2015 11:01:40 Francisco Diaz Promexico CEO and Enrique Bello President of the bilateral entrepreneurial Committee Mexico-Dominican Republic of "Consejo Emprersarial Mexicano de Commercio Exterior" COMCE, will co-chair the mission carried out jointly by the COMCE, PROMEXICO the CFI coordination with the embassies of Haiti in Mexico and of Mexico in Haiti. Wednesday early in the day the two state institutions for the promotion and facilitation of investment in Haiti and Mexico will sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to formalize the inter-institutional relationship that began in 2011. PROMEXICO and CFI will thus become partners, to exchange information, share experiences, conduct joint missions and especially reciprocally attract investment, through "joint venture" or Foreign Direct Investment (FDI). Mexican companies : Abaplas S.A (Construction - Alejandro Orvañanos Galina) ; Aprendisaje (Technology and Education (software) - Arturo Elizaga Martinez) ; Core Dril S.A (Water well drilling equipment - Juan Carlos Lamar Garcia) ; Fariel S.A (Textile - Alejandra Conchillos) ; Marindustrias (Food - Armando Gonzalez Roldan) ; Messoft Systems (Software development and mobile applications - Antonio Mendoza Torrijos) ; Promocion y mercadeo internacional (Food - Rogelio Angeles Herrera) ; SYE Software (Development and testing of software - Ariel Jatuff) and Comunicación Vial (Road signage - Enrique Bello Roch et Maria Fernanda Amelia Chavez Arcos), will be in Haiti for individual meetings with Haitian entrepreneurs. They will also be able to assess the possibilities offered by the Haitian market, following a workshop organized for them by the CFI. Recall that the trade relations between Haiti and Mexico have experienced in recent years a significant increase and governments and private sectors of both sides, repeatedly stated their willingness to become true partners. Note that this mission comes just days before the holding in Mexico of the "10th World Economic Forum" (WEF) where the two countries will sign an Agreement of Reciprocal Protection and Promotion of Investments (APPRIs). Currently trade between the two countries amounted to almost 69 million US dollars while barely 2.5 million in 2004. The Ambassador of Haiti, Guy Lamothe arrived Saturday in Port-au-Prince, to finalize the last details and logistics to welcome this important Mexican mission.
