Haiti - Politic : President Martelly will attend the World Economic Forum
President Michel Martelly will be among the distinguished guests of the tenth edition of the World Economic Forum (WEF) for Latin America 2015 to be held from 6 to 8 May at the Riviera Maya in Mexico.

10th Forum that will bring together 750 business leaders and 20 ministers from 11 countries, including the USA and the countries of Asia and Europe will focus on the challenges of regional slowdown and reflect on the conditions "less favorable" than Latin America pass through, among others due to the sharp drop in oil prices and slower growth in China, one of its main major trading partners of the Zone.

"Participants will critically examine the region's economy by focusing on institution building necessary for them to have a better credibility and encourage innovation and modernization of the economy," said the Salvadoran Marisol Argueta de Barillas WEF Director for Latin America.

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, will open the Forum, which will also be attended by the presidents Juan Orlando Hernandez (Honduras), Anthony Carmona (Trinidad and Tobago) and the American Joseph Stiglitz, Nobel laureate in economics among others.

Among the entrepreneurs sould be noted the presence of Brazilian Carlos Brito, CEO of the gigantic multinational brewery Anheuser-Busch InBev; Mexican Carlos Slim Domit, son of magnate Carlos Slim and to the head of the board of the state-owned Telmex, the Brazilian Eduardo Leite, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the prestigious American law firm Baker & McKenzie and Carlos Sánchez Galán, Chairman of the Spanish energy company Iberdrola.
