Haiti - Politic : The Minister of Culture seeks partnerships
Monday, Dithny Joan Raton, the Minister of Culture, undertook a tour in Washington DC, to discuss the possible development of partnerships with university institutions such as the School of Architecture and Design at Howard University, the Yale University or the Smithsonian Research Institute.

At Yale University, the Minister Raton will meet with curators who are working in the restoration of works of art representing the Haitian Presidents belonging to the collection of the University.

Moreover, with the Smithsonian Institute she will will explore opportunities for collaboration between his Ministry and the American Scientific Research Centre.

To recall, the Smithsonian Institute is a scientific research institution, created under the aegis of the US administration in 1846 and operated by the US Government. Over the years, it developed its its editorial vocations, museographic, pedagogical and educational. The Smithsonian is now associated with a vast complex of 19 museums and 9 research centers, mainly located in Washington.
