Haiti - Dominican Republic : Who is right ? 14/05/2015 11:23:15 Navarro lamented that the Haitian government has not fulfilled the promise to open on time, three centers for issuing documentation of origin to its nationals so that they can benefit from Dominican provisions. "For us, the commitment of the Dominican Government was able to include in the Plan, the maximum number of immigrants; and one of the conditions was that they are endowed by their country of origin of the basic documentation," adding that this greatly limited the process. Remarks that can contradict the Ambassador of Haiti which recently acknowledged the failure of the Program of Identification Of Haitian Immigrants (PIDIH) https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13848-haiti-dominican-republic-no-extension-for-the-pnre.html stressing in another statement about the PIDIH [...] The authorities had set a goal to identify 200,000 people, only 52,000 undocumented Haitians living in the Dominican Republic are at present included in the program. Of these 52,000 registered, 2,000 have already received their passport and 15,000 their national identity card (CIN) [...]" Andres Navarro hoped that by June 17 (deadline of PNRE) the necessary efforts ill be made on the Haitian side, for people who have not been able to access this Paln, complete their documentation and register. He indicated that after the deadline the Dominican authorities will ormally apply the law on migration for all illegal aliens. Moreover, he stressed that the Dominican Republic does not expect a wave of criticism or censure open about deportations, because according to him of the total transparency that his country has shown in this process since the beginning . Note that in parallel in Haiti, the Government was working to develop a contingency plan for hosting the Haitians to be repatriated https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13862-haiti-social-the-government-is-preparing-to-receive-haitians-deported-after-june-17.html See also : https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13848-haiti-dominican-republic-no-extension-for-the-pnre.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13739-haiti-dominican-republic-towards-a-failure-of-pnre.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13635-haiti-dominican-republic-everything-is-ready-to-deport-foreigners.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13529-haiti-regularisation-insufficient-efforts-of-the-haitian-government.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-13522-haiti-elections-the-national-archives-promises-to-be-quick.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-12390-haiti-naturalisation-the-dominican-government-extends-by-90-days-the-registration-deadline.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11851-haiti-social-pnre-a-plan-for-regularization-or-repatriation-of-haitians.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11414-haiti-socialhaitian-authorities-have-no-excuses-dixit-edwin-paraison.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11207-haiti-politic-the-law-of-regularization-voted-in-the-dominican-republic-and-after.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-11168-haiti-denationalisation-filing-of-dominican-bill.html https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-10417-haiti-politic-binational-workshop-on-the-dominican-foreign-regulation-plan.html SL/ HaitiLibre
