Haiti - Culture : Haiti participates in the Fair of Friendly Cultures in Mexico 20/05/2015 11:21:01 This year, with the help of representatives of Rebo many visitors queuing to taste, daily the cafe from Haiti. It is also the first time that craftsmen from Haiti showcasing their products on the stand occupied in previous years, by exhibitors, members of the Haitian community in Mexico under the coordination of the Embassy of Haiti in Mexico. Haiti participates in the fair with, in addition of the stand, a painting exhibition where some 30 paintings of street painters are exhibited under the theme "pinturas of callejon" (street painting) to the "Casa de la Primera imprenta of America" (House of the First American Printing), located in the historic center. The exhibition is organized by the Embassy of Haiti in collaboration with the Haitian collector Kely Rely who lives in Mexico. Recall that the Fair of Friendly Cultures, is a major cultural event for the city of Mexico. Tourists from around the the world come and this year, Miguel Mancera, the Head of Government of Federal District opened the 2015 edition under the sign of peace. This event is a privileged space especially for countries that have diplomatic relations with Mexico to promote their culture through crafts, gastronomy, music, theater, painting etc...
